I moved to New Zealand in 2014 and still live here now. My dad was born here and both my parents grew up here.

I was born in Australia but I moved to England when I was one years old. I obviously don't remember it but there are many photos in my family photo albums and I hope to go back one day.

I moved to England from Australia when I was one years old. I stayed there for 8 years before moving to New Zealand.
Croatia
Here is some info about Croatia.
My mum and grandma were both born in Croatia. However, my grandma grew up there and my mum moved to New Zealand at a young age. Lots of my family is from here and it is one of my favourite holiday destinations. My family owns a holiday home in Korcula, Croatia and I enjoy going there to spend time with family, go swimming at the beach, eat delicious food etc.

Learning about family history is important. It is essential to understanding ourselves and basic humanity and diversity. Family history also helps to keep memories alive and allow each generation to have an idea of who they are and where they come from.
I feel like I learned more about my family’s background and history. I now can compare the similarities and differences of what life was like compared to now. This is interesting as I can get clearer understanding of how society has changed over the years from real-life experiences.
